Cheap (ish) bike
I'm seriously thinking about getting a cross bike but haven't got a lot to spend, ~£400. I'm not going to be racing and it's not going to get a lot of use so what I want to know is.....are there any new bikes on the market for that money or would I be better off going 2nd hand?

If you know what you are doing and have bits and bobs lying around then going secondhand is the way, I picked up a frame off fleabay for £35 last year and its ok, good enough for training on anyway. Wait about a month and you will get plenty of bargains.

Yeah I was hoping once the season ends there may be some appearing on the market.
