Is the Bontrager seatpost really 31.8 or actually 31.6, if 31.6 I would be interested, thanks.

Paul

Christ I don;t know - I thought 31.8 was the 'standard' it's somewhere between 31 and 32 mm - not got those caliper things!

I'm sure it;s the standard for alloy frames!

31.8 is a standard size, but 31.6 is far more common, I think most alloy cross frames use it, which was why I wondered - and what I'm after.

Paul

Using a steel rule with MM on it and a squinty eye, I'd have to say it's closer to 31.6 than 31.8. If it hellps it came from an Alloy Alan Cross Xtreme frame.

Sale or return if it doesn't fit?

Cheers

Bernie

Quick search suggests most Alan frames 31.6, so yes sounds fine, if you still have it I'll paypal the £18, what's your paypal Email address?

Paul

Hi Paul,

sorry for late reply - I've been away in Scotland but it's on Ebay now : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200666501642?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&am...

You may get a bargain!
