A new event on the calendar, with a new organisation and brand new course comes to Worcester on Sunday 12th December.

Choose Cycling presents the Cult Racing MegaCross at Top Barn Farm on a course which features a mix of grass bankings, long fast straights, twists and turns and a BMX section.

Choose Cycling is a new organisation specialising in cycle training, maintenance courses and events, and Director Mark Leyland, himself an experienced event organiser and competitor, is very enthusiastic about the new event and venue.

"We were looking for a way of promoting our new organisation, and having promoted many events over the last 15 years, I thought what better way than organising an event which will attract a large number of people. The venue was tested early last season by the local Worcester St Johns club, but we have devised a new course all in a compact area, which should offer great close racing, and unrivalled spectating opportunities".

With Cult Racing Cycles of Earlswood as title sponsor, their relationship already developed with the West Midlands League is further enhanced by the addition of this event. Additional support has come from Back On Track Bikes in Malvern.

Top Barn is a popular venue for running and triathlon events and training, and Choose Cycling plan to capitalise on the cyclo-cross event, by running a mountain bike series at the venue in 2011.

Hot showers, an excellent on-site cafe selling hot and cold food and drinks and (for a limited period) the venue is also home to an indoor skating rink, perfect for youngsters after they have competed in their races!
