From Julian Gould, posted on the notts & derby forum.......

"Unfortunately we have got to postpone the Cyclo-Cross Midlands Championships at Thornbridge this weekend. The snow is over 14 inches deep – so although we think the racing could go ahead (it is a winter sport ...), the nearby approach roads that we use for parking cannot be used. Also there will be no access for Emergency Vehicles to the site.
The local weather forecast is for a high of zero on Saturday and sub-zero Friday and Sunday – so it looks like there will be no melting of the snow on the roads.
We have agreed a new date with British Cycling – Sunday 2nd January at the same venue. This is the day before the Notts & Derby race, and a week before the National Championships. Entries will be automatically transferred to the new date. Anyone who can’t make the new date can ask for a refund but the closing date for this is December 11th. Additional entries for the January 2nd event are also being taken again with a closing date of December 11th."

A few pictures and the entry form (for those who couldn't/didn't enter for Sunday but would like to enter for 2 January) can be found here: http://www.ndcxl.org.uk/boards/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=670

Just to let you know that with lots of burst pipes, and many still frozen - please bring your own water for the Midlands Champs this weekend (and for the NDCXL on Monday too...)

More info later in the week.
