Glorious mud.

just wondering if that's a proper prototype 'hope' frame, or something decalled up... any ideas what he's riding?

It's not produced in-house - they buy the frames in and paint/decal up. I suspect it is from a Far-East suppplier but will tap up my insider and find out :-)

i think i read somewhere that it's a Dedacciai frame

Lots of inf here on it.  http://www.velouk.net/2011/11/17/bikeporn-paul-oldham%E2%80%99s-bike/ Paul and I were weighing it up against the Dirty Disco at the Derby round and it's ~ same weight .  Certainly not a proto - it's an off the shelf hi spec unbranded frame from the Eastern Land of Quality Manufacturing and probably available in some catalogue or other somewhere.

I like the decals and wheel decals together - Dave Collins' green version lovely too.

See Paul is running a single ring- that is really retro 70's...

Still cannot see why you need double chainrings

Usually you only use 4 or 5 of the 9/10 in the cassette
