Model Bs are the only 700c wheels I have and I was going to use them for the rest of the cross season now I have a proper cross frame.

Think they have 24 and 28 spokes front and rear, respectively.  I was not sure if they would be sturdy enough but i've seen plenty of people using Aksiums and Ksyriums, etc. for cross which are the same or lighter than PX model B so i'm assuming they would be ok.

Does anyone else use Model Bs for cross?

Cheers

Hi Grant.

I've used these (Model B's) for a couple of seasons now for both racing and a bit of playing about on trails too.

They are superb esp. for the money, they've stayed true inspite of some pretty hefty knocks and bumps and the rims seem to waer well too.

I have the Campy versions and the freehubs and bearings seem to last and to be reasonably well sealed from the elements.

IMHO you could spend a lot more and get a lot less. I'd buy them again. Deffo recommended.

I've done the 3 peaks on them and survived (by that I mean myself and the wheels!).
done all sorts with my Bs, including some heavyweight touring and they've been great
Cheers guys
