I am keen to buy a video camera with a slow motion facility to use as an aid in judging road race and track finishes or even sprint finishes in cyclo-crosses. Problem is that I know nothing about cameras but as i have seen plenty of photographers at events this winter I am hoping some one can advise me on what to get.

ivor Armstrong uses a good one for the Preston SiS crates. I'll send you a private message with his email address. One thing I know about slo mo functionality is that it generally requires good light conditions because it uses dead fast shutter speed.
Thanks Dave, I am told that there are different settings for slo-mo to help with lighting problems but as said I am a novice at photography
