Adrian Timmis' finish in the 1987 Tour de France was one of those classic memories for me - growing up with not much access to road cycling news and relying on the tiny reports in the paper or the very delayed Cycling Weekly reports was the norm in 1987, but in my early years in 'cross, I remember riding against Adrian Timmis several times and being a bit start struck.  A real idol.     Last time…
