Alan Dorrington replied to Alan Cook's discussion Keep your discs for cross...
"Bigger rotors and bespoke systems will be the way forward for road. Let the technology catch up. It will, very soon. In the meantime, crossers can enjoy the clear advantages even simple mechanical systems bring (as well as the Hope or Parabox…"

"Stuff" cyclocrossers say

Following on from the series of "Stuff" mountainbikers and roadies say, here is a compilation for cyclocrossers put together by the awfully nice folk at cxhairs.com If a word stronger than "stuff" offends you, please don't open - just one rude word in the title http://vimeo.com/35811489I believe this is called a "meme"If you are not offended by a word stronger than, "stuff" and would like to see the roadies version, here it is…See More

Alan Cook replied to Sean Parr's discussion What innertubes with long valves to use for Cross ?
"For VERY deep rims, Scwalbe tubes have a detachable valve core.  You can remove the valve, pop in a Vittoria (or Tufo etc.) extender, then replace the valve My anorak has my mittens attached via a string through the sleeves :-)"
