Have you noticed the riders running without their bikes during bike changes ??? If I remember you were allowed to run for 5 meters without your bike to pick up your other one. Rode a race in Switzerland and the top riders were changing bikes 5 times…

Eric, do not remember a trophy race in Hudderfield, the star wheelers ran a race ever year sometimes around the Monument at Honley which was the highest place around, the other races were on the sports field by the Hudd town football ground.

We once travelled up to ride a Viking Trophy Race at Huddersfield. It would have been around 1967/8, I remember that the most of the circuit was very high up. Could this be the course that you mean?.

I spent a pleasant hour watching the GP Sven Nijs live (and in HD!) on the internet yesterday. Found it via myp2p.eu which pointed me to www.sport.be
