"Thanks for the reply, Alan. I used some nail varnish remover for the rim which worked well. I left the sidewall as per your advice. I too think i used too much glue (it was my first time!) and then i think i just got messy when mounting it as it was…"

"You can use pure acetone (or nail varnish remover if you can't find it) to remove the glue from the braking surface. Just be careful not to get acetone on the bond around the base tape/bottom edge of tub. As for the glue on the sidewalls, I…"
