Revolution Bikes/TLI Winter X league Round 8 results

The final round of the Revolution bikes/TLI Wales winter league was held in dry conditions on the Plas Ffrancon sports centre course in Bethesda Gwynedd.

Previous winner in round 3 at Prestatyn, Paul Bethel Team Elite.co.uk/Paul Bethel Electrical, again returned and quickly establish a lead that he never lost finishing one lap up on the rest of the riders.

Dead turns, off camber corners; but at least it'll be muddy

BC announced today that the 2011 national cyclocross championships will take place in the Moorways stadium in Derby. The venue was host to the 2nd round of last season's national trophy. I had a shocker of a ride there with a rolled tub and a generally poor start to the race, but it'll be a worthy venue for a tough race. I'm interested to see how it cuts up in January - especially as I'll be a veteran next year and will be racing on day 1 of 2; so the mud that can come (I pray) at that time of… Continue

TLI/Revolution bikes winter league round 5

On a beautiful sunny day on the Llynn Peninsula, the Llynn CC promoted the 5th round of the TLI/Revolution bikes winter league at Ysgol Botwnnog on the 3rd January. with the leading 2 riders away, it gave a chance for other riders to experience being at the front of a cyclo cross race. the promoting clubs Pete Windsor quickly established a commanding lead which he was never to loose, behind the battle lasted for all the race between fell runner Tim Lloyd and Halesowen veteran Ian Evans, the 2nd… Continue

TLI Wales/Revolution bikes winter league round 4 13th december Bethesda Gwynedd.

round 4 of the TLI/Revolution Bikes winter league saw the return to Bethesda Leisure Centre course, and on an improved course with 3 run ups and and adverse camber decents on every lap, the riders were faced with a testing race on a lovely dry cold day in the mountains of Snowdonia. TLI Wales/Revolution Bikes winter league round 3 Prestatyn 3rd Dec/

Paul Bethell, Macc wh, won the 3rd round of the winter league, from Revolution Bikes Matt Pritchard, but unlike the previous week at Bolton, where they battled the whole race, Pauls race was made easier due to Matt missing the start of the race and letting the field reach halfway round the first lap before he started. Despite bad weather over the previous days, 26 riders came to Amlwch on the Isle of anglesey to ride the good old fashioned cyclo cross course overlooking Amlwch Port.
