getting narked with the dog poo....

Like most racing dads, the majority of my training is in the dark at this time of year. Im lucky to have semi floodlit parks near me so I can train on them off road a couple of times a week. (great!)

But why oh why am I coming home spattered in dog s**** ? allover the bike, shoes and me......its not nice and it stinks.

So, will I get into trouble if I dismount and chuck my bike at the next dog walker I see letting their dog mess up my lines.........

I'd be careful pal - remember what happened the last time you crossed a dog owner!

I went training at lunchtime with Alan Dorrington and all our wheels were covered with sh*te. Really annoys you. I met with the council about the park I'm using for our next 'cross race and they just raised their eyebrows and tutted. The message has got to go from other park users - if you see someone letting their dog crap, let em know. My friend's neighbour - who used to live next to a park in Cheltenham - followed people home with their dogs turds in a bag one day, handing it to them on their doorstep - literally.

I like the baggin' it and handing it over idea, dont like having to pick it up....
I think i'll follow em home and make like Jim Carrey in 'me myself and Irene' !

we were out earlier in the park we'll be using for Hit the North. Shite everywhere. We'll be out on the course with shovels and flicking sticks before the race I think...

...and I've got a dog. I'm a keen poo scooper though.

Update to the doo poo diaries.......

because its been shitty weather this week ive been on the rollers more than ive been offroad. A lot cleaner and no dog sh=t to worry about.
Well no! I was on the trainer last night whizzing away thinking, jeese I can still smell dog sh=t ? Turns out there was some on my lads bike hanging up near me.

Cant get away from it.......;-)
